Welcome back from the long weekend, superfriends. The only downside is that it's been hot. Too hot. How long will this heat wave last? It's already September, so I hope not much longer.
A happy belated birthday to a great gal pal, Dorothy. If you haven't been keeping up with current events, she's also getting married next month. Congrats to the soon-to-be Mr. & Mrs. P.
We all chilled at 330. It's a decent place on a FRI night. Drinks were reasonably priced. The place was not overcrowded. They even played 90's old school hip hop, which IMHO is the best. We'll most likely hit it up again soon.
Dor's buddy, Mina, is pretty cool. She was trying to be a proactive wingwoman for me that night. Any gal pal that does that is automatically in my good graces.

I was at SCRC last weekend, too. There was something that a deacon said during his talk that stuck out. We usually hear things like "God has a plan for you..." or "He knows what's best..." etc. But the deacon added that God's plan can "evolve". Meaning, it can be modified slightly in your best interest, depending on how you live your life. Interesting concept.

I've come to recognize (again) the (underestimated) importance of "balance".

The human wrecking-machine is returning soon. Fear the spear...
